Sariska National Park
It is situated in the Aravali Hills. It is divided into the grasslands, dry forest, sheer cliffs and rocky landscape. A vareity of wild animals like sambhar, chital, leopard, nilgai, langur, hyena, wild boars, jungle cats and tiger are found in this reserve.It is also a home of peafowl,harbours quail, sand grouse, golden woodpeckers, eagles etc. The lake on the edge of the park has large number of crocodiles. This National Park is covered with dhok Trees. Sariska became a sanchuary in the year 1958 and it came under the project tiger in 1979. In 1982 it become a National Park.
Jaipur, which is the closest airport link, is 107 km away and Alwar , serves as the nearest rail link, which is 37 km away from Sariska.
OTHER ATTRACTIONS
KANKWARI FORT: Situated 22km from Sariska within the core area of the park, built by Maharaja Jai Singh, later used by Aurangzeb to keep his brother in captivity.
NEELKANTH: Capital city of Bargujar kings, Ajaypal the ruler of bargujar, constructed this temple town before 1010 AD . Around 2826 statues and ruins are spread around temple. 100 metres away from the temple, is a 16 feet x 6 feet statue of a Digambara Jain Tirthankera, Parshavnath locally refered as Naugaja.
PANDUPOLE: It is belived that during exile, Pandavas passed through the mountain by piercing a whole with Gada by Mahabali Bhim. This temple is a religiousplace of interest.
BHANGARH FORT: In 1631, Maharaja Madho Singh established this city for 10000 people.
CAMP CARNIVAL SARISKA
